Privacy

What we collect, and what we do with it.

This policy covers selectmybuilder.com.au and the enquiry forms on it. It describes what actually happens to your information, not what a template says usually happens.

What we collect

Only what you type into an enquiry form. Depending on the form, that is your name, email address and mobile number, and the details of the build you are planning: land status and address or preferred suburbs, budget and how firm it is, build type, bedrooms, timeframe, finance position, and anything you write in the message field.

Each submission also carries the page you sent it from, the site that referred you, the time, and any campaign tags in the link you arrived through. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, logs your IP address, and we use it to limit how many submissions one source can send in a minute so the form cannot be flooded.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on this site. Nothing here follows you to other websites.

Where it goes

An enquiry becomes an email to our own inbox, sent through Resend, our email provider. There is no CRM and no automated processing: a person reads it and replies, usually within one business day. Your reply goes back to you directly.

If you engage us, we share what a builder needs in order to price your project with the builders we approach on your behalf.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for marketing.

Other services this site uses

  • Cloudflare — hosting and the enquiry endpoint. Sees your IP address and request details.
  • Resend — delivers the enquiry email to us. Sees what you submitted.
  • Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces load from Google, which means Google sees your IP address when a page loads.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails stay in our mail account. We keep them while there is a live enquiry or engagement, and for seven years afterwards where the project went ahead, because the records relate to a contract. Ask us to delete an enquiry that went nowhere and we will.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@selectmybuilder.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy question, you can refer it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
